Introduction

Vietnam Offroad Adventures created this 6 days NorthCentre Vietnam Motorbike tour from Hanoi to Sapa via Hoang Lien range. You first ride along the Red River before heading up Hoang Lien range. Starting in Red River Delta flat country before riding in higher mountain roads. The best portion of this 6 days NorthCentre Vietnam ride is between Nghia Lo and Sapa. In fact, the roads are among the highest in Vietnam. While riding, you pass through many terraced rice fields and mountain passes. In addition, the colorful and friendly people along the way will make this a trip of your lifetime.

6 Days NorthCentre Vietnam Motorbike Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Nghia Lo. ~180 km, ~7 h.

Easy drive on a sealed road. Drive through rural areas with beautiful rice fields along the road before we head up the Hoang Lien range. In fact, this range is named after the most popular tree found in this area. Stay in a hotel.

Day 2: Nghia Lo – Than Uyen. ~140 km, ~6 h.

The road is wild and bumpy. Between Sapa and Hanoi, we will find an important mountainous massif, almost as high as the Fansipan: the Mu Cang Chai. From the top, we have one of the most beautiful views of North Vietnam.

Day 3: Than Uyen – Sapa. ~120 km, ~5 h.

Walk/ stroll in the morning. Then head to the direction of Sapa. You ride through one of the most beautiful mountain passes of Vietnam: O Quy Ho. Despite the short ride, this day is definitely the highlight of this 6 days NorthCentre Vietnam loop.

Day 4: Sapa – Trekking.

Sapa and Bac Ha are now quite touristy. However, we can trek to Ta Van village where is dominated by Giay people. We pass Lao Chai village on the way and lunch could be in Lao Chai, Ta Van, or wherever we want. The children will go together with you along the way. We stay O/N in a stilt house of Giay family, which is basic and rough.

Day 5: Sapa – Luc Yen – Vu Linh. ~200 km, ~8 h.

We start the ride from Sapa to Luc Yen, then ride to Vu Linh in about 2 hours around the lake on a small road lined with palm trees and scenic mountain views. It will be dark already. The welcome is exceptional and we hope you will not be too tired.

Day 6: Vu Linh – Hanoi. ~180 km, ~6 h. End of 6 Days NorthCentre Vietnam.

The road is easy and relaxing. We will avoid heavy traffic by taking this road.
