OUR BIKES FOR GUIDED TOURS & RENTALS FROM HANOI
Vietnam Offroad is the first and original tour operator providing genuine Honda 4-stroke road and dirt bikes from 125 to 250cc. Small 110cc scooters are also available for inexperienced riders. We only use our own bikes, all Japanese Hondas (XR250’s, new XR125L 2013-15 model, and new CGL125’s 2014 model), and don’t rent bikes from any company. If you request, a few of our bikes can be lowered to fit customers’ height. Some companies use small displacements or even worse Chinese copy cats to lower the costs but we don’t do that. Rental bikes are of poorer quality due to more frequent use and by different levels of riders. Most tour operators in Vietnam use rental bikes or even cheap Chinese fakes.
Who Should Rent Our Bikes?
Intermediate and experienced riders are recommended to join our trip(s). However, beginners or riders with very little riding experiences can pay a riding lesson (30$US) in Hanoi before leaving. You could take a lesson at home or in Hanoi. The good news is just a few people who took our lesson failed to ride and none of them was down while riding! If you drive a manual car you will be quick to learn.

MOTORBIKE FLEET
Honda CRF250L Dual Enduro
Below is a photo of our Honda CRF250L. Our bikes are not brand new but work very well on the trip. We put bike performance on top of everything else and know these bikes as well as the back of our hands. Our team works on the bikes ourselves and don’t use employees.
250cc dirt bikes, for intermediate and experienced riders. They work with all terrains and roads in Vietnam. These are the most popular bikes our customers booked on their guided motorbike tours. If you have experience with smaller bikes before and want something more powerful this is also a good upgrade. CRF250L uses a single-cylinder engine and is liquid-cooled. All of these bikes have electric starts only and no kick start is available.
Honda XR150L & CRF150L Dirt Bikes
150cc off-road motorbikes, year 2016-2019 for novice, intermediate, and also experienced riders. This is a great bike for riding in Vietnam with a very comfortable seat. Honestly, it’s the best choice for a small dirt bike because it’s more powerful than XR125L that we already discontinued in 2017. In addition, the seat height is low or high enough for riders from 1.6m to 1.9m. All motorbikes come with both electric and kick starts. All in all, it’s an ideal dirt bike for Vietnam.
Honda Winner 150cc Touring Scooter
150cc touring scooter, new 2016 model for the novice, beginners, and intermediate riders. If you have experience with scooters before and want something more powerful this is also a good upgrade. In fact, the seat height is low enough for riders from 1.6m. All motorbikes come with both electric and kick starts. In general, this is a light touring scooter, very easy to ride, and works well with sealed and secondary roads in Vietnam.
Honda CGL125 Sport Touring
125cc new 2014 road bikes, for the beginner, novice, intermediate and experienced riders. This bike is the perfect alternative option of the older GL Pro version that we discontinued in late 2013. In addition, the bikes are new so they are the best.
We have been providing near new or latest models of scooters in Hanoi. Only genuine Honda products, no other brands, or Chinese fakes. Please take these details into account when you decide which bike to hire, ask about bike model and year of manufacturing don’t just look at prices. Moreover, our rates are competitive and the quality is among the best.
Honda Wave 110cc Semi-Automatic Scooters
2013-2018 models. 110cc semi-automatic scooters, for novice riders and beginners only. This model has a U-Box under the seat that could accommodate small personal things. In addition, if you never ride a bike before and want something small this is a good start. All bikes come with electric and kick starts. In fact, it is a very small motorbike, very easy to ride, and works well on paved roads in Vietnam. In general, most customers select this scooter because it’s the cheapest to rent. Honestly, it is only good for long-term rentals in Hanoi.
Honda Blade 110cc Semi-Automatic Scooters
2015-2017 models. 110cc semi-automatic scooters, suitable for novice riders and beginners. This model also has a U-Box under the seat but a bit smaller than the Wave 110cc versions. If you want something small, compact, light, and fast then this is a good choice like its name suggests. Moreover, you will like the new gear changing system! All bikes come with electric and kick starts.
Honda Wave Alpha 110cc Semi-Automatic Scooters
2017 model. 110cc semi-automatic scooters, suitable for novice riders and beginners, especially girls. This model also has a U-Box under the seat and is, in fact, the lightest we rent out. If you want something small, compact, light, and easy to handle then this is the best choice. All bikes come with electric and kick starts.
Honda Lead 125cc 2014 Automatic Scooter
125cc fully automatic scooter, noiseless starter, and idling stop technology. The storage was increased to 37l comparing to 35l of 110cc model. A great new scooter for rent in Hanoi!
Honda Air Blade 125cc Automatic Scooter
125cc fully automatic scooters, for novice riders and beginners only. If you never ride a scooter before and want an easy commuter in Hanoi, then this is a good start. The scooters come with only electric starts and the advanced fuel injection technology and idling stop. It is a medium-size scooter, super easy to ride, and works well on paved roads in Vietnam. Best of all, this model is a large box under the passenger seat that allows two full-face helmets or many personal items. It is only good for long-term rentals in Hanoi, best for men.
Honda Vision 110cc Automatic Scooter
110cc fully automatic scooters, for novice riders and beginners only. If you never ride a two wheel before and want an easy commuter in Hanoi, then this is a good start. The scooters come with both electric and kick starts and the advanced fuel injection technology and idling stop. It is a lightweight scooter, super easy to ride, and works well on paved roads in Vietnam. This Vision has a box under the seat for personal stuff. It is only good for long-term rentals in Hanoi, best for girls.
50cc Scooters
This is the smallest scooter we offer. The good thing is you don’t need any licence to ride them. However, you wouldn’t expect much about the power, comfort, and speed. Indeed, it’s only for a single rider, not good with a pillion. Due to the weight and size, it’s quite small for a foreigner and a semi-automatic scooter is better than a fully automatic scooter in this case. On the other hand, if you are under 1.6m they are the best.

I am interested in any 250 cc used dirt bikes for sale if available. I am 6’2′ a tall 220 pound man and I would like to rig it out with Wolfman Dry bags and Saddle bags for drive to Saigon city.
I will be carrying clothing and what luggage I can. So I wonder if the rear tail racks can be re enforced to accommodate these bags, as well as a muffler shield for heat if needed. I am certain your shop could do this.
If I purchase a bike from you ahead of time and then fly in, I can acquire a better tail rack for luggage if available, but first …
A tall 250 cc would be nice. I am 54 and an experienced rider with heavy road bikes, and have ridden into mountains upon logging roads (sand mud gravel).
Anh Wu let me know what current stock is at this time if any.
I have Certification Documents from my State showing I am Safety Trained, and I have Endorsement for ALL cc capacity of bikes. I can bring these documents along.
Thanks: Chris. Yes I can get health insurance too in Hanoi. We spoke about that issue.
Hello Chris. Yes, we have a few bikes left. When do you need it? The rear luggage rack was already enforced so it’s no problem with your weight and 20kg of luggage.
I would like to hire a GL next week. From 11/10 to 18/10 or 19/10. Do you have one available?
Thanks,
Ron
Dear Ron. We have the 2014 Honda CGL125 with electric start for 15$US. For more details, just follow this link. Let us know your thoughts please.
Hi,
Staying in Hanoi and would like to buy 2 motorbikes to ride to ho chi minh city. Do you have anything for sale
Thank you
Hello Louise. We sell only used Japanese Honda touring motorbikes that you can see at this link. If you want two bikes, I recommend the Honda GL Pro 160cc, very reliable and good on highways. Please note they cost more than the Chinese copy cats of Win 100-110cc.
Hi. I am interested in renting a bike for three weeks in February 2014 and was wondering what you might have available. I will be riding two up and a rear rack would be handy if you have any. Looking forward to hearing from you. Evan.
Hello. We recommend either Honda road bike GL 160cc (17$US/day) or Honda dirt bike XR250 (35$US/day) for riding two up. A deposit is needed to book a bike. What’s your riding experience please?
