Our team created this 4 days Central North Vietnam by motorbike so you can experience the best of Vietnam in such a short time. From the valley of Mai Chau with Thai people to Vu Linh countryside with Dao people. In general, it’s not just a stunning landscape but friendly and authentic people.

There is an option to include some off roads riding to Ta Xua mountain top and your guide will sit down with you and discuss it with you.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Mai Chau. ~160 km, ~6 h.

Once out of the Red River Delta, which brims with traditional farming activity, we pass through limestone monoliths and into foothills populated by Muong people. Then we head straight at the main range before breaching a high and beautiful forested pass, which descends into the hidden valley of Mai Chau where we spend the night with friends in a traditional Thai stilt house.

The valley of Mai Chau lies between two rivers: the Da River and the Ma River that make it very fertile and rich in varied landscapes, medium mountains, forest, lake, rivers, and infinitude of small footpaths and offer many possibilities of a trek. In the valley of Mai Chau and its surroundings are Muong, White Thai, H’mong (in the height), and the Dao who we meet at the markets or in their villages during trekking, boating, or while driving.

Day 2: Mai Chau – Phu Yen. ~150 km, ~6 h.

We go from Mai Chau to Moc Chau and then to the Da River. After crossing the reservoir of Da river, we ride on a beautiful winding secondary road until Phu Yen where we stay in a guesthouse.

Day 3: Phu Yen – Vu Linh. ~150 km, ~6 h.

Ride from Phu Yen to Vu Linh through limestone and palm trees, on asphalted road and dirt roads. Then reach Thac Ba lake where a boat will be waiting for us. Finally, we will cruise on the lake from west to east, until the Dao village of Vu Linh. Best of all, the welcome is exceptional.

Day 4: Vu Linh – Hanoi. ~180 km, ~7 h. End of 4 Days Central North.

Ride back to Hanoi in 7 hours via Son Tay to avoid the heavy traffic on the main road. We estimate that you will arrive in Hanoi at around 3 pm, well before rush hour.
