NEW MANUAL BIKES FROM 2014
For new manual bikes, as of March 2014 after the Vietnamese government allows everyone to own motorbikes larger than 175cc. In addition, driving license for large displacements is much easier to get. This A2 license used to be for government authorities and motorcycle clubs only. However, now anyone who passes a theory and driving test will have this license.
Many motorbike giants have been discussing with the government and trying to cut down the taxes (import tax, luxury tax, and registration taxes) so the large motorbikes become more affordable. It’s the time we also need to upgrade to the brand-new 2013/2014 small manual bikes. Vietnam Offroad is happy to announce the arrivals of the three new models below (Dirt bike Honda XR125/150L and Sport Touring Honda CGL125). This also means we will discontinue the older models like sport-touring Honda GL Pro 160cc and Honda dirt bike XL 125cc. Many shops in Hanoi still use the older models and we always pick up the best choice when it becomes available.

It is a big change after many years that giant motorbike makers like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Ducati, Kawasaki, KTM, Harley Davidson, etc. will be introducing many large displacements later in 2014. Currently, Yamaha and Suzuki are assembling the manual 150cc in Vietnam, nothing bigger yet. Stay tuned for more news.
Upcoming Fleet
If things look good, we will upgrade more to 150cc like Honda CRF150L. With the more advanced fuel injection technology and bigger wheels, this bike can perform better in high mountains.
Honda CRF250L is available for taller riders, from 2017.
